We partnered with Ramen Tatsu-Ya to bring their ninth - and smallest - location to life: Lil Ramen Tatsu-Ya on the iconic “The Drag” Guadalupe Street, across from University of Texas. Designed as a fast, to go ramen concept for students and locals, our goal was to transform the compact space into one with a larger than life personality.
From the street, an illuminated dragon installation devours the service window, creating an unmistakable landmark on The Drag.
Along the exterior corridor and dining spaces, we incorporated playful “portal” murals by artist Michael Sieben, installed by Show Goat Murals, featuring ramen monsters mid-slurp to unify the footprint with a bold, energetic look.
We reimagined the dining area with updated furnishings and bold pecan signage, ensuring the space reflects Tatsu-Ya’s signature vibe while adapting seamlessly to a quick service model. The result is both a cultural statement and a restaurant: a bold, street-level experience rooted in the heart of UT’s campus life.
